Meet Desira
Educator. Trainer. Consultant. Author. Advocate for early learning.
For more than 20 years, Desira Bolden-Keith has dedicated her career to helping young children thrive by strengthening the educators and programs that support them.
As the Founder of Beautiful Minds Early Learning Consulting, Desira brings together decades of early childhood experience, advanced education, professional training, and a genuine passion for helping educators grow. She understands that meaningful professional development should do more than provide information — it should equip educators with practical strategies they can confidently use when they return to their classrooms.
The story behind Beautiful Minds
Beautiful Minds Early Learning Consulting grew from a simple belief: when educators grow, children thrive.
Throughout her career, Desira has worked alongside early childhood professionals and has seen firsthand the difference knowledgeable, confident, and well-supported educators can make in a child’s life. She created Beautiful Minds to provide professional development and consulting that respects educators as professionals while giving them relevant, engaging, and practical tools for their everyday work.
Beautiful Minds is built on connecting knowledge to practice. Whether Desira is facilitating a professional development session, developing curriculum, creating educational resources, or consulting with an organization, her goal is to help participants leave with something they can use.

A trainer who understands educators
Adults learn by doing
Don’t just tell educators what to do. Help them understand why it matters, show them how to do it, and give them the confidence to make it their own.
Desira believes adults learn best when professional development is engaging, relevant, respectful, and connected to real-world situations.
Her training style goes beyond simply presenting slides. She creates opportunities for educators to participate, reflect, discuss, practice, solve problems, and connect new information to what happens in their classrooms every day.
That philosophy guides every Beautiful Minds training and consulting experience.
Author & educational resource developer
Books open doors
Desira is also an author and educational content creator who believes books can open doors to curiosity, confidence, imagination, and discovery.
Her work includes developing children’s literature and educational resources that introduce young learners to meaningful experiences and possibilities while providing educators and families with opportunities to extend learning beyond the pages of a book.
Her work as an author naturally complements her work as an educator and trainer — bringing together literacy, creativity, child development, and intentional teaching.
